Outlet Safe Install Guide

How to Install Your Hidden Wall Safe

Tools needed: Pencil, tape measure, level, stud finder, drywall saw or utility knife, screwdriver or drill.

1. Determine the best location for the safe box.
For the best security, find a place that is hard to access and out of site. For instance, behind a couch, house plant, or under a table. Ideally in a private area such as a bedroom or closet. Measure the distance off the floor of other outlets in your house to match. Make sure there are no studs, wires, plumbing or heating ducts where the safe will be installed.

2. Cut a hole for the safe.
Trace the included template on the wall at the desired location. Then, using a drywall saw or utility knife, make incisions over and over until you have cut through the wall material. Be very careful to avoid all wires!

3. Insert safe box.
Push the main safe box into the hole. If it fits tightly, do not force it or you may damage the drywall. If needed, use a utility knife to enlarge the hole in your wall. Make sure that the outlet plate fits correctly before installing. The drop down box can now be inserted and pushed down to add additional space to your outlet safe. Screw in the mounting flap and included screws to the holes in the sides to secure your new safe into the drywall. Make sure all screws are flush and ensure the drop down box will slide up and down.

4. Fill your safe.
Place any valuables in your new safe that you want to have easy access to. Use the cover over the drop down box for a double secret safe, or use without the cover for added space.
Note: If you have small items in the lowered safe box, you may need to lift up and slide the box out using the attached flaps to access.
